Horwath HTL 's litigation support group has experience serving as court-appointed receivers of hospitality real estate to secure and manage revenue and operations of distressed properties on behalf of their secured lenders and institutional clients. We provide advisory services in restructuring sales transactions, deeds in lieu of foreclosure, receiverships, and, should it be necessary, the foreclosure or bankruptcy processes.
The senior members of our firm, who would staff, manage, and complete your assignments, have an average of 30 years experience in the hospitality and hotel/resort industries. Most have undergraduate degrees in hotel/hospitality management and graduate degrees in business administration, hotel administration, and accountancy.
Many have held senior positions with hotel companies such as: Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Hotels, Holiday Inn (IHG), Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Outrigger Hotels, Ramada Worldwide, Regal, Richfield Hospitality, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Rodeway Inns, Super 8 Motels and Stouffer's. Some are Certified Hotel Administrators and most started their careers in hotel or restaurant operations or asset management before moving into the hotel and resort, real estate advisory sector. Several have personally developed, owned, or managed hotels and restaurants.
In addition to the firm's extensive background in the hospitality industry, the firm's professional experts have experience acting as receivers, trustees and asset managers for other commercial real estate such as mixed-use office, retail and residential communities.
