Florida T. BoothFlorida T. Booth is a Managing Director with Horwath HTL, part of for the United States Horwath HTL Group. Ms. Booth has consulting and appraisal experience encompassing over 25 years in the hospitality industry. She has provided consulting and detailed market and financial analysis for numerous existing and proposed hospitality projects, site selection studies, assisted in litigation support as well as successfully challenged real property tax assessments, and completed over 200 hotel appraisals and opinions of value. Her area of expertise includes hotels, resorts, conference centers, spas, water park hotel developments, hotel condominium and fractional ownership developments and mixed-use real estate projects. Her clients include pension funds, financial institutions, individual developers, public and private agencies as well as major hotel corporations and lodging chains.

In addition to projects located throughout the mainland United States and Hawaii, Ms. Booth has worked on numerous international projects including consulting and appraisal services on existing and proposed master-planned resort developments in Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.

Ms. Booth has also worked with public agencies such as cities and redevelopment agencies in analyzing the type of, and need for, lodging and/or convention center development, as well as the financial impact to the area from sources such as Hotel Occupancy Tax revenues, parking revenues and the impact on surrounding real estate values.

Ms. Booth attended the University of Texas in Austin, as well as the Fashion Institute of America in Atlanta, Georgia, with study program in London, England. Prior to Horwath, her work experience includes Laventhol & Horwath, PricewaterhouseCoopers and PKF Consulting. Ms. Booth is a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), and holds Certified General Appraisal licenses in both Texas and California. Further, she holds a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. Ms. Booth is a past president of organizations such as the Greater Houston Hospitality Accountants Association, the Texas Association of Hospitality Accountants and the Rotary Club of University Area in Houston, Texas.
